The Association for Women in Communications, NJ Chapter (AWCNJ) and the AWCNJ student chapter at Rutgers University participated in Macy’s “Find Your Magic Fashion Show Presentation and Challenge” at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ.

The special event was hosted by TV personality Jill Zarin, former star of Bravo’s “Real Housewives of New York.”  One person from each participating women’s organization, along with other volunteers from the audience, created their own fashion looks for different occasions, from a night out with the girls to a dream-job interview.  Their selections were showcased by Macy’s models, who displayed the trendy Spring 2012 fashion looks in pairs, with audience applause picking a favorite look in each duo.

Member LaTia McNeely-Sandiford represented AWCNJ, demonstrating a classy fashion sense that wowed her fellow AWCNJ members.  Other AWCNJ participants manned a display table to promote the organization and encourage membership.

While all audience members received Macy’s gift bags, AWCNJ received a $250 Macy’s gift certificate for their participation in the event – an exciting door prize for a future AWCNJ program!

The “Find Your Magic Fashion Show Presentation and Challenge” was fun and different from the usual AWCNJ professional-development event.  Attendees enjoyed learning about the newest fashion trends while promoting AWCNJ.
